About the role…

VA is undertaking a major transformation initiative to replace its current critical Maintenance Information System (TRAX) with eMRO, a modern, device-agnostic application designed to enhance aircraft maintenance and fleet management. eMRO provides seamless information flow across modules, ensuring efficient management of all maintenance-related data. With its open architecture and web-based deployment, eMRO offers increased accessibility, improved productivity, and streamlined business processes. Additionally, it integrates various maintenance applications to enable direct workflow injection with our frontline engineering team.

What you’ll be doing…

As an Engineering Systems Analyst, you will be a key member of the Engineering Systems and Process Team, playing a vital role in ensuring the continuing airworthiness of our fleet through operational system support, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting & Optimizing Engineering Systems: Provide operational system support and analysis to maintain and enhance VA’s Engineering and Maintenance Systems (EMS).
  • Collaboration & Compliance: Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance, process efficiency, and system optimization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive system enhancements, process automation, and data-driven decision-making to maximize operational effectiveness.
  • Integration & Implementation: Support the eMRO transition, ensuring a smooth migration from TRAX and leveraging the new system’s capabilities to improve engineering workflows.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-impact project that will modernize VA’s engineering systems and position the airline for future operational excellence.

You’ll be great int his role if you have…

  • Minimum two years of relevant work experience within the Engineering and Maintenance industry.
  • Extensive superuser experience with Engineering and Maintenance Systems (EMS).
  • Experience translating business requirements into system solutions, including design, implementation, training, documentation, and maintenance.
  • Strong facilitation skills at both user and management levels.
  • A good understanding of IT and its interface with business operations.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, and presentation) skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize work in a dynamic environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, Access, Project, and PowerPoint.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, or IT OR an Aircraft Licensed Engineer with a postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Business, or IT.
  • Formal project management qualifications.
  • Experience with Trax and Oracle systems.
