What you will be doing:
As a Safety Training & Promotions Specialist, you will be a trusted advisor, deploying new ways of working, ensuring our teams are equipped with the knowledge and skills to uphold the highest safety standards. You will be responsible for designing and delivering modern and effective safety training programs, developing internal communications strategies and materials, and providing expert guidance on learning and capability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities -
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging digital training content using tools such as Videoscribe, Canva, and other multimedia platforms, ensuring high-impact learning experiences through the Learning Management System (LMS) and live sessions.
- Produce and edit video-based training materials, podcasts, and interactive learning content to enhance engagement and knowledge retention.
- Maintain and enhance safety training programs, using data-driven insights to refine content, formats, and delivery methods.
- Regularly review and update training materials, incorporating new digital learning trends and stakeholder feedback to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on internal communications and training strategies.
- Apply agile ways of working, using tools such as Jira and collaborative digital platforms, to plan, track, and iterate training and departmental safety initiatives based on feedback and evolving business needs.
- Leverage internal communication channels, including MS Teams, intranet platforms, and social media-style updates, to distribute safety messages, training materials, and promotional strategic and tactical campaigns effectively.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute targeted safety communication and promotional strategies, incorporating modern engagement techniques such as microlearning, AI, and interactive content.
- Align safety communications across operational divisions for consistency.
The ideal candidate:
- Degree or Advanced Diploma qualification in Adult Learning, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or relevant work experience would be advantageous
- Experience in a similar role working with an aviation organisation (desirable)
- Solid understanding of communications methodologies and internal communications best practice
- Ability to design and deliver internal communications strategies
- Experience in agile systems of work for planning and scheduling
- Understanding of Safety Management principles
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work with the most junior to senior levels of the business
- Experience with e-learning development, curriculum design, training methodologies and online education.
- A passion for exploring and implementing innovative ways of reaching audiences within the business
- Advanced computer skills with experience Indesign and Seer tech
