The role:

Based at our Brisbane HQ, the Strategy Lead, SME (Small Medium Enterprise) will report to the Senior Manager, SME Strategy and Insights. This pivotal role will focus on identifying and delivering strategic growth opportunities within the SME division while collaborating with cross-functional teams in Sales, Marketing, Digital/Product, Operations, Loyalty, and the broader business. 

In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders, lead and facilitate meetings, develop comprehensive project plans, establish governance structures, and ensure timely project completion.

In addition, you will:

• Use Microsoft Excel and Power BI to proactively interrogate and analyse data to identify trends, gaps and opportunities that help the company drive incremental revenue
• Transform analytical output into actionable insights and narratives that will improve decision-making and consequently drive business performance
• Continual delivery of strong recommendations with options considered and supported by a high degree of robust analytics
• Support the commercial leadership team to identify and scope commercial opportunities in the Sales function and lead the sizing of commercial benefits and investments
• Work closely with the Sales team to execute identified commercial opportunities
• Promote a data lead culture through the use of data and analytical decision making across the Commercial Division

You’ll be great in this role if you…

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (Business, Economics, Finance, etc.)
• A background in Management Consulting or a similar commercial/analytical role (3+ years)
• Advanced Excel skills (you have built models before). Power BI skills are advantageous but not essential
• Experience in translating business questions into analysis to prove/disprove hypothesis
• Experience interrogating and analysing large bodies of data to generate actionable insights
• Experience operating with ambiguity in pursuit of an overall objective
• Ability to use data insights to generate easily interpreted, impactful Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
