Digital Production Operations Analyst

About the role:

The Digital Production Operations Analyst plays a critical role in supporting and implementing the digital and distribution systems that drive revenue for the Virgin Australia group. This role ensures that commercial, customer, and compliance objectives are consistently met across key platforms.

Working closely with both internal teams and external partners, the Analyst will prioritize enhancements, manage issues, and resolve defects to deliver an exceptional customer experience. This includes ensuring the smooth operation of core customer-facing applications and platforms such as websites, mobile apps, and booking engines, with a focus on maximizing revenue. Additionally, the role is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of these systems, establishing processes and procedures to effectively manage issues and maintain seamless operation across all core digital platforms.

You’ll be great for this role if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Digital or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience working in a commercial environment, with 2+ years of relevant experience in IT or Digital
  • Strong experience managing multiple products, with knowledge of project and system lifecycles
  • Expertise in software development lifecycle management for quality and efficient delivery
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and present at the executive level
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, align with strategic goals, and prioritize product roadmaps
  • Data-driven, analytical approach to business improvement, focused on teamwork and results
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and ensure stakeholder satisfaction
  • Team player who works well with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proficient in analytics, IT systems, mobile platforms, and website technologies (including IBE)

Desirable but not required:

  • Business Analysis certification or formal training
  • Experience in the airline industry
  • Experience in software development
  • Proficiency with corporate booking engine tools
  • Demonstrated success in managing and optimizing digital platforms
  • Experience in merchandising and retail strategies
  • Strong knowledge of airline fares and ticketing processes
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing principles and strategies
