Reliability Leader

What you’ll be doing…

As the Reliability Leader your role will be to provide guidance and direction to the Reliability Team and ensure effective management of the engineering CAMO functions of the Reliability Program for the operated fleet types.

Based at our Brisbane Airport Hangar this role is Monday – Friday with flexible working arrangements available.

You will….

  • Ensure team compliance with Part 42 exposition (CAME), procedures (EBP2) and work instructions. Ensure team technical analysis of performance data to optimize System & AMP, component reliability and increase component time on wing.
  • Lead the team by maintaining effective communication, mentorship, guidance, and performance management.
  • Initiate actions to enhance fleet performance to deliver reliability targets. Maintain continuous improvement by identifying and implanting system and process changes.
  • Model leadership behaviours and set clear performance indicators
  • Ensure team training is accomplished in accordance with induction and company requirements. Ensure staff are set for success through team and individual training plans
  • Responsible for monitoring effective deployment of staff via roster management and support when required. Oversee recruitment/selection of staff and contractors.

You’ll be great in this role if you have…

  • Hold or have held, an aircraft engineer license in category B1, B2 or equivalent with type ratings and / or credits on current Virgin Australia aircraft types or aircraft of similar complexity or hold a qualification in Aeronautical Aviation (Aeronautics, Mechanical, Avionics or Electric)
  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience with at least 2 years in an Airline Technical Services Management role for aircraft that are the same, or of a similar type, as the aircraft operated by the airline
  • Extensive experience with airline Engineering and Maintenance systems (EMS)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Project PowerPoint and Outlook. (intermediate - Advanced)

Desirable but not essential…

  • Knowledge or experience in Trax or Oracle systems would be desirable
