Hello. We’re Virgin Australia. We’re the airline that’s always done things a little different. Our way. The Virgin way. We’re on a mission to make flying better than ‘nice’. And to do that, it takes a team of talented people who are passionate about customer experience, doing the right thing always, with a focus on safety – in the air, on the ground and in our workplaces. A team who values real diversity and inclusion, in a big brand with big ambitions.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Central Reservations Control System Analyst, you’ll play a key role in supporting, maintaining and enhancing our core reservation, departure control and associated airline systems. You’ll combine your technical (especially Sabre) expertise with a strong understanding of airline operations to deliver reliable, high-performing systems that support our people and our customers every day.

Working closely with a broad range of internal teams, external vendors and operational stakeholders, you’ll build trusted partnerships and help drive strong business outcomes and user satisfaction.

     You’ll also:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure system issues and risks are identified, managed and escalated appropriately
  • Investigate, respond to and resolve system incidents raised by internal and external stakeholders
  • Prioritise and deliver system changes that maintain stability and improve performance
  • Contribute to system upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Take an end-to-end view of the customer journey when supporting and enhancing systems

You’ll be great in this role if you:

  • Champion teamwork through open, proactive and collaborative communication
  • Confidently influence and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders and vendors
  • Thrive in a team environment with a strong customer-first mindset
  • Bring strong analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Have experience in system support or delivery, ideally within aviation or travel
  • Communicate complex information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
  • Take pride in delivering high-quality work with strong attention to detail

     Desirable but not essential…..

  • Experience in the aviation or travel industry, particularly in reservations and/or airport check-in
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Management, Business Management or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Previous exposure to system support or system delivery environments
  • Experience working with vendors or supporting contract management activities

We’re committed to looking after you, with some of the best benefits and conditions in the industry – including (but not limited to):

  • Discounted flights for you and your loved ones (including $1000 worth of travel credits per year)
  • A flexible, hybrid work style. Work from home or the office, adapt your location to suit your style and needs
  • One of Brisbane’s most admired head office locations, with South Bank train station, a supermarket, pharmacy, and lunch options downstairs plus a 5-minute walk to the Busway, a rooftop restaurant and onsite gym (with a low membership fee) and South Bank Parklands just across the road
  • Discounts on travel insurance, lounge membership, car hire, accommodation, and experiences worldwide
  • Cheaper hospitality, retail, technology, beauty and wellness services
  • Free counselling and access to a wellbeing app to support your physical, mental, social and financial health
  • ‘Dress for Your Day’ – enjoy the freedom to wear whatever makes you feel great for the type of work you do and the day you have ahead of you.
