Project Engineer – Aircraft Induction

What you’ll be doing…
As the Project Engineer – Aircraft Induction you will manage a broad range of activity relevant to engineering design, modification, airworthiness and certification, from planning, to delivery and aircraft acceptance, and contribute aircraft technical knowledge for the successful induction of new aircraft into the fleet. As Project Engineer you will be knowledgeable in aircraft engineering and maintenance and have success in Project delivery.
This is a contract role until February 2026
You will…
- Develop the Engineering & Maintenance aircraft induction Project Plan in collaboration with the aircraft induction Program Manager and Project Coordinator
- Manage overall delivery end to end with key focus areas of scope, resources, timelines, risks and issues, stakeholders, quality and financial budgets
- Manage aircraft acceptance and delivery certification and airworthiness compliance requirements, with internal and external stakeholders and service providers
- Identify and manage aircraft configuration, cabin configuration (SFE and BFE), modification status, and associated approvals and documentation
- Manage design and embodiment of pre-service modifications (EOs, SBs, STCs
- Manage development and approval of the Maintenance Program, Reliability Program, DDG/MEL working with subject matter experts and service providers
- Oversee implementation of aircraft health monitoring (AHM) and engine health monitoring (EHM) systems, supporting and assuring the development of procedures and completion of training and familiarisation
- Contribute to the development and submission of the regulatory Manual suite (expositions and procedures)
- Coordinate airworthiness training and familiarisation requirements
- Actively liaise with key stakeholders including Flight Operations, Cabin Operations, Safety Systems, Product, and Operations Delivery
- Provide and coordinate where required technical input into parts purchasing, sourcing (RFQ/RFP) and contracts
- Actively support data sourcing and data consolidation for entry into the MIS
- Actively support other functions requiring technical engineering input
You’ll be great in this role if you have…
- 8+ years’ experience in an airline technical role plus demonstrated project experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of commercial aviation legislation and regulations as related to aircraft engineering and aircraft inductions.
- Demonstrated experience in the application of project management fundamentals )Planning, resourcing and milestone identification)
- Demonstrated experience implementing change into business environments, including working with change management to embed complex systems
- Demonstrated experience developing trusting relationships with senior stakeholders and vendor management teams
- Degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience
- Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
- Strong and flexible stakeholder management skills and engagement style
- Experience using Project Management Tools including creating presentations using MS PowerPoint for multiple audiences and Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office and other MS applications)
- Experience working with vendors and managing contracts
- Proven ability to engage and motivate teams
