Hello! We're Virgin Australia. We're the airline that's always done things a little different. Our way. The Virgin way. We're on a mission to make flying better than 'nice'. And to do that, it takes a team of talented people who are passionate about customer experience, doing the right thing always, with a focus on safety – in the air, on the ground and in our workplaces. A team who values real diversity and inclusion, in a big brand with big ambitions.

We are open to candidates based in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

This is a 12 month max-term contract.

What you'll be doing:

Ready to shape the future of travel? As our Ancillary Product Specialist, you could have the opportunity to work across a range of products including Car Hire, Travel Insurance, Hotels and Packages or Activities and Experiences.  You'll craft innovative 1 - 3 year product roadmaps using data insights to drive maximum revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction across all our digital channels. Working alongside our Velocity Frequent Flyer team and industry-leading partners, you'll build an exciting portfolio of third-party airline products that set new industry standards.

You'll be our strategic visionary – analysing performance trends, uncovering opportunities, and translating insights into strategies that drive both airline revenue and exceed VFF billing targets. Under the guidance of our Airline Travel Partnerships and Holidays Manager, you'll become the go-to expert for product performance reporting and the strategic mind behind our most impactful selling strategies.

You'll be great in this role if you...

  • Business degree or a degree in a related discipline
  • 3 - 5 years of product management experience in travel, service industry or financial services
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and management skills (both internal and external)
  • Data-driven approach to problem solving, prioritisation and strategy development
  • Hands-on data analysis skills (Power BI, Adobe Analytics, Excel) with ability to derive actionable insights
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas and recommendations
  • Strong presentation abilities
  • Knowledge of airline industry ancillary products (hotels, car hire, travel insurance packages, etc)
  • Experience with e-commerce and digital product management processes

Desirable but not essential...

  • Experience working with multiple vendors and products at any one time
  • Agile tools and Project management software (JIRA)
  • Understanding of GDS's and NDC
  • Understanding of digital marketing principles

  • One of Brisbane's most admired office locations, with South Bank train station, a supermarket, pharmacy, lunch options, the Busway nearby, a rooftop restaurant, onsite gym and South Bank across the road
  • Discounts on travel insurance, lounge membership, car hire, accommodation, and experiences worldwide
  • Cheaper hospitality, retail, technology, beauty and wellness services
