Product Manager - New Product Development

Who we’re looking for:

The objective of the Product Manager NPD is to work with internal and external partners to ideate, develop, pitch and gain approval for game changing new products and initiatives that will fast-track value and interest to our partners, members and business. Once approved, you will then work with the immediate team in assisting to implement, market, analyse and improve the new product or feature whilst being the key responsible stakeholder collaborating across the wider business.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and gain “buy in” for feasible New Product Development to fast-track value to our partners, members and VA group
  • Proactively engage prospective program partners and vendors to facilitate solutions to create greater value for partners, members and VA Group
  • Collaborate within an agile cross functional squad tasked with the conception, design, delivery, nurture and running of new products or features aligned to Velocity’s strategic objectives.
  • Be a thought partner to the Head of New Product Development and build strategic capabilities within the team.
  • Review and analyse business and product performance, including budgeting, forecasting for business casing, initiative pipeline, and member generated earn and burn.
  • Pro-active self-education and awareness of industry changes and developments relevant to product or customer experience improvements.





You’ll be great in this role if you:

  • Have experience in loyalty/Business Development/strategy/management consulting/product development (3-5+ years), or similar functions in industry (7+ years), with experience in leading product and feature design and implementation
  • Have previously worked in sales and business development. Pitching solution orientated initiatives, both internally and externally to C-level business partners.
  • Have proven success in negotiating commercial terms and technical integration/partnership contracts
  • Can translate business questions into critical analysis to prove/disprove hypothesis
  • Possess a keen eye for interrogating and analysing large bodies of data to generate actionable insights
  • Have strong stakeholder engagement implementing customer facing product or features from initiation to business as usual
  • Are experienced in account or partnership management either in an agency, commercial, business development or loyalty role
