Business Development Representative

What you’ll be doing:

Join our dynamic team at Virgin Australia as a Business Development Representative, based at our Brisbane Head Office, and dive into warm sales! In this phone-based role, you'll take charge of a portfolio of over 150 potential clients, nurturing relationships, securing sign-ups, and driving revenue growth through our Business Flyer program. With a blend of inbound leads and existing customers, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to close deals. Plus, you’ll attend key events, expanding your network and amplifying your sales success.

In addition you will:

  • Surpass sales targets while driving revenue growth and improving the quality of revenue within the SME Business Flyer program.
  • Proactively engage leads and close sales to increase revenue from existing clients.
  • Contribute to shaping a robust revenue development strategy for the SME Business Flyer program.
  • Consistently meet daily call volume targets to sustain strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with your team to complete tasks within SLA timelines, supporting overall revenue and customer service goals.
  • Work with your manager and team to develop and execute a customer engagement strategy.
  • Manage phone calls and emails professionally, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience.
  • Assess customer needs over the phone and provide tailored solutions with expert advice.
  • Deliver clear, accurate, and concise information to all clients.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all Virgin Australia products to effectively support and advise customers.

Please note this is a 12-month opportunity. 

You’ll be great in this role if you have: 

  • Demonstrated sales expertise with a track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong ability to identify new business opportunities, convert leads, and grow an existing portfolio.
  • Skilled in building rapport quickly and maintaining long-term relationships with clients to drive repeat business.
  • Proven ability to upsell and cross-sell products and services, maximizing revenue opportunities.
  • Results-driven mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on sales opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor your approach to different client needs.
  • Experience in managing a high-volume sales pipeline and consistently delivering on KPIs and sales metrics.
