What you’ll be doing:
The Leader, Airline Direct and Digital Marketing is responsible for driving revenue and customer success for Virgin Australia’s pre-booking and post-booking experiences. This role is for you if revenue is always be top of mind whilst striking the perfect balance with customer experience, ensuring every communication is carefully tailored and segmented for the audience.
You will manage the V-mail and guest databases, competition builder products, and collaborate with the digital product teams to optimise the homepage, mobile app, manage booking and Specials experiences. Collaborating with a large variety of internal and external teams including martech enablement and data technology platforms, ancillary, revenue management, tourism, loyalty and product teams, you’ll need to multi-task like a pro and consider the right messaging for the right customer, at the right time. You’ll be a hands on leader, not afraid to get your hands dirty training or assisting direct reports while balancing multiple projects of your own.
This is a 12 month fixed term parental leave cover role.
You’ll be great in this role if you:
- Come from a background in campaign lifecycle management
- Have resourcing planning, revenue budget & forecasting management skills
- Are a strong people leader and confident managing up to 5 direct reports
- Demonstrated experience in a commercial and technical environment
- Are a natural at building strong relationships and can comfortably manage external partners in project delivery
- Have experience managing change across multiple teams within an organisation
- Have previous experience working with marketing and digital agencies
- Have advanced knowledge of Adobe Experience Cloud: Campaign, Target, AEM (or translatable skills from platforms like Salesforce or Braze)
- Enjoy working with data-driven and digital marketing techniques and processes
- Have strong analytical, analysis, reporting skills and can meet deadlines under pressure
- Ability to prioritise tasks based on commercial awareness
- Possess a strong understanding of spam and privacy compliance in digital and direct marketing context
- Have a relevant tertiary or equivalent business qualification
- Have airline, travel or retail e-Commerce experience (desirable)
- Can manage digital products like CMS tools and databases
