What you’ll be doing:
As an Analytics Lead at Velocity, you will play a pivotal role within the Insight Analytics chapter. Your primary responsibility will be to provide hands-on insights and analytical support to your squad, transforming data into compelling stories.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor team members within their cross-functional squads, enhancing their technical skills, analytics approach, presentation abilities, and stakeholder management.
- Stakeholder Support: Collaborate with senior business stakeholders across the squads to optimize the use of analytics resources, driving efficiencies and maximizing value.
You’ll be great in this role if you:
- Come with 5+ years experience in an insights analytics role or equivalent, with a focus on driving business outcomes
- Have 1-2 years minimum experience in leading analytics teams
- Experience consulting, influencing and advising key business stakeholders independently including Product and Marketing.
- Experience mining large databases and producing sophisticated analytics, segmentation and targeting
- Experience using digital analytics to deliver reporting, analyse and attribute conversion, generate insight and optimise digital experiences and campaigns
- Expert SQL, Python (or similar) coding ability
- Power BI, Tableu (or similar) visualisation software skills
- Highly level of data literacy and numeracy
- A business partnering mindset; a strong and proactive collaborator
- Highly developed problem-solving skills
- An understanding of key analytical concepts including statistical methodology
- Degree or post-graduate qualification in marketing, business, mathematics, analytics or related areas (desirable)
- Loyalty program or loyalty marketing experience (desirable)
- Databricks experience
- Knowledge or experience in statistical modelling techniques (desirable)
- Airline, financial services or retail industry understanding (desirable)
