Test Manager

What you’ll be doing

The objective of the Test Manager role is to act as a source of expertise and leadership on testing for IT. They will be an advocate of testing, have a thorough understanding of the importance of testing and will be responsible for advising on best practise to small projects and / or to stream within larger projects and programs. The role will also coach junior test analysts if present in a given project, as well as to lead small teams of testers to complete a given test phase of a project.

  • Plan and execute all testing phases including, System Test, System Integration Test and User Acceptance Test.
  • Create test artefacts including Test Strategy, Test Plan and Test cases.
  • Execute manual and automated test scripts.
  • Identify and track test defects and execute defect managment.
  • Maintain governance across all delivery components for audit traceability.
  • Provide timely and relevant metrics-based reporting on the testing process.
  • Collaborate with build teams to esnrue timely delivery of code releases and accurate close out of defects.
  • Manage all resources working within the team, including contractors and vendors.
  • Provide support to other project teams including data migration, integration and solution architecture in relation to their testing activities (where required).

You’ll be great for this role if you have...

  • Bachelors degree in IT or Computer Science (or equivalent background)
  • ISTQB qualification or equivalent
  • 5+ years of expereince as a Test Manager
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, qMetry and DevSecOps
  • Experience in various delivery methodologies including Waterfall and Agile

Desirable but not essential...

  • Masters degree in IT or Computer Science.
  • Experiance working with cloud platforms such as AWS.
  • Experience with Java, C++ or C Coding.
  • Previous airline industry experience.
