Fleet Engineer Avionics

What you’ll be doing

Based at our Brisbane Hangar you will working within the Avionics and IFE team. As an Avionics Engineer you will maintain continuing airworthiness through effective configuration control of the aircraft avionics and electrical systems for the operated fleet types as well as initiate preventative or predictive maintenance strategies to improve aircraft technical dispatch reliability.

You’ll be great in this role if you have…

  • A suitable Aviation Engineering Qualification (Aeronautical); Diploma, Graduate or Post Graduate or have held an aircraft engineer licence within the avionics discipline
  • Advanced computer and data analysis skills
  • 5 years relevant work experience with at least 2 years working in either an airline technical services, support role or aircraft maintenance in an avionics-based discipline, working with aircraft that are the same, or of a similar type, as the aircraft type operated by the airline
  • Comprehensive knowledge of:
    • The regulations and standards applicable to aircraft maintenance programs and reliability programs.
    • Regular maintenance requirements included in the instruction for continuing airworthiness for the aircraft.
    • The specifications and standards that have been used by the type certificate holder to develop regular maintenance requirements for the aircraft
    • The aircraft certification basis
    • The aircraft structure and systems, including the propulsion system, for the aircraft/engine type operated by the airline
