What you’ll be doing…
The Safety Support Specialist role aims to deliver top-tier specialist safety support to the Safety Systems and Operations Support team at Brisbane's Head Office. This position is crucial for enhancing productivity by implementing and overseeing systems and processes that aid the General Manager, Safety Systems, and Operations Support.
In addition, you will be an active participant in governance forums, disseminating safety-related information, and compiling safety data in response to external requests. You will be responsible for:
- Management of Safety related distribution lists
- Perform administration duties for the GM including diary management, meeting and event coordination and general support where needed
- Coordination of key governance meetings (SSOS MSRRC, ESRRC, BSRRC) and others required by the GMSSOS, including preparation of agendas and minutes, dissemination, and follow-up on completing action items.
- Provide administration support in the event of Crisis Management Centre activation.
- Manage CEO, ELT, and SSOS Management reports.
- Medical bookings for DAME and general staff-related internal Doctor appointments.
- Triaging of guest relations and team member complaints and coordination of response.
- Participate in consultation of WHS matters as related to your working environment.
What you need to be successful:
- Previous experience working with highly confidential information.
- Aviation industry experience or safety experience (desirable).
- Experience in maintaining systems and documentation in accordance.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to develop effective relationships with managers, executives and staff to achieve business outcomes.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
