As Manager, Social Media & Engagement, you’ll shape how Australia connects with the Velocity brand across digital platforms. You’ll lead social strategy, drive bold campaigns, and deliver measurable outcomes — all while bringing the best of creativity and performance marketing together.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this is a high-impact, highly visible role that works across Loyalty, Brand, Digital, and Commercial to bring our story to life.

 

In addition, you will:

  • Lead the development and execution of data-driven social strategies that support Velocity’s business and member growth objectives.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, channel-appropriate content to build brand affinity and member engagement.
  • Execute high-impact social campaigns for major launches, offers, and milestones.
  • Collaborate with creative and media teams to develop best-in-class visual and video content.
  • Own and optimise paid social strategy and budget across Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, and emerging platforms — delivering performance and ROI.
  • Manage and maintain a social content calendar aligned to campaign activity, key dates, and audience trends.
  • Analyse engagement, conversion, and audience metrics to deliver insights and continuous improvement recommendations.
  • Stay ahead of trends and innovation in digital, social, and content — and bring fresh thinking into the team.
  • Partner with community managers to foster a positive, responsive, and on-brand social presence.

 

You’ll be great in this role if you:

  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in social media leadership, digital campaign strategy, and content creation in a large B2C environment.
  • A strong understanding of loyalty programs, customer engagement, and brand storytelling.
  • Experience in paid social strategy, performance marketing, and managing media budgets.
  • Advanced skills in social analytics and reporting tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, TikTok Ads Manager).
  • Strong cross-functional stakeholder engagement and presentation skills.
  • Excellent copywriting ability and a good eye for visual design, accessibility, and content optimisation.
  • A passion for emerging trends, platforms, and driving digital innovation.
