What you’ll be doing:
Maintenance Support is a highly skilled team of Technical Instructors, Technical Trainers and aircraft maintenance specialist's delivering training and support services to the whole of Virgin Tech and Virgin Engineering. The training group develops and delivers CASA Part 42 and 145 courseware and is pivotal in ensuring regulatory compliance with regard to authorisations and safety system training.
As a Technical Trainer you will be responsible for designing and delivering high quality learning solutions for Virgin Australia Engineering and Virgin Tech team members.
This role is based at the Brisbane Hangar. Other locations will be considered for the right applicant.
This will include but not be limited to…
- Research, develop and prepare technical training material, consistently look for areas of improvement to keep the content fresh and up to date.
- Carry out the development and delivery of training courses for initial and recurrent business requirements in the classroom or via computer based solutions.
- Maintain staff operational knowledge and skill.
- Carry out assessments in a fair and consistent manner.
- Have complete oversight of training plans, attendance and training records.
- Ensure all training records are maintained accurately and are efficiently entered into the LMS post certification.
You’ll be great in this role if you:
- Bring experience in aircraft maintenance and/or airline operations
- Hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Have a strong background in developing training for both online and classroom delivery
- Are confident delivering training content within a regulated environment
- Communicate and present with clarity and confidence
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Possess sound knowledge of continuing airworthiness, aircraft maintenance, and relevant regulatory requirements
