The Virtual Account Manager plays a pivotal role in bringing Virgin Australia’s Value Proposition to life for resourced focused mid-to-large corporate partners.

In this dynamic and influential role, you’ll own and manage a virtual portfolio of contracted corporate partners, fostering long-term relationships that drive retention, growth, and shared success, while also ensuring every partnership unlocks our unrivalled value, priority perks and seamless experiences. You’ll bring your analytical mindset to the table and dive into complex data, tracking industry trends and identifying key areas of opportunity to drive value. You’ll package insights into engaging and concise virtual business reviews, that deliver on our partnership promise to add real value.

What you’ll be doing

  • Establish and nurture partnerships with corporate customers through proactive and regular engagement with stakeholders at all levels
  • Deliver compelling insights using data analysis and market research to inform procurement strategies and strengthen Virgin Australia’s Value Proposition
  • Collaborate closely with Travel Management Companies (TMCs) to ensure seamless alignment between mutual customer goals, travel policy compliance, and Virgin Australia’s offering
  • Identify areas of opportunity for each partner on a regular basis, setting a clear action plan to deliver promised value while unlocking additional revenue for Virgin Australia Group
  • Actively contribute to the wider Sales team by sharing insights, collaborating on opportunities, and engaging with broader industry contacts.

You’ll be great in this role if you…

  • A natural flair for building trust and rapport, whether it’s over video or face-to face
  • Proven experience in B2B sales, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategy
  • Travel Industry or aviation experience would be highly regarded but not mandatory
  • Advanced PowerPoint presentation skills and strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence behaviour
  • A customer-first mindset, matched with commercial acumen and a drive for delivering measurable results.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage and influence at all levels.
