Our Procurement team plays a critical role in delivering value across the business, and data is at the centre of how we make better commercial decisions. As our Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you'll help shape the future of procurement analytics by turning complex data into trusted insights that influence strategy, improve performance and support better business outcomes.
This role is based in our Brisbane Head Office.
What you’ll be doing…
As our Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you'll help shape how Procurement uses data to make smarter commercial decisions.
You'll own and continually evolve Procurement's business intelligence capability, transforming procurement, supplier and financial data into trusted insights that improve commercial outcomes, strengthen governance and support better decision-making across the business.
Working closely with Procurement, Finance, Technology and Enterprise Data teams, you'll develop and enhance our reporting environment, ensuring our dashboards, data models, business rules and reporting standards remain accurate, scalable and fit for purpose. You'll partner with leaders to analyse complex business challenges, test ideas and provide the insights that shape strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
You'll also play an important role in improving how Procurement uses data by streamlining reporting, increasing automation and exploring emerging technologies that help the team work smarter.
In this role, you'll:
- Lead the ongoing development and optimisation of Procurement's Power BI reporting suite, including the Procurement balanced scorecard.
- Own Procurement data models, taxonomy, business rules and reporting standards to ensure trusted, consistent and high-quality data.
- Translate complex business questions into meaningful analysis, forecasts and commercially relevant recommendations.
- Deliver spend, supplier, contract and performance analytics that support sourcing decisions, supplier performance and commercial outcomes.
- Develop insights that help identify opportunities, manage risk and focus Procurement on its highest-value priorities.
- Improve reporting processes, automate manual activities and identify opportunities to enhance the way Procurement uses data.
- Support strategic projects and transformation initiatives through scenario modelling, analysis and data-driven recommendations.
- Partner across Procurement, Finance, Technology and Enterprise Data to continually improve our analytics capability.
- Coach stakeholders, build data literacy and drive greater adoption of self-service reporting across the Procurement team.
- Identify opportunities to leverage automation, modern analytics and AI-enabled tools to improve reporting and decision-making
You’ll be great in this role if…
You're a technically strong Business Intelligence professional who enjoys solving complex business problems through data. You have deep expertise in business intelligence, analytics and reporting, and you're motivated by building trusted solutions that help leaders make informed decisions.
You'll bring advanced Power BI capability, strong data modelling skills and experience working across multiple enterprise data sources. You understand the importance of data quality, governance and well-defined business rules, and you're comfortable designing scalable reporting solutions that deliver meaningful business insights.
You'll also be confident partnering with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements, challenge assumptions and translate complex problems into practical analytical solutions. Whether you're supporting a strategic initiative, enhancing an existing reporting suite or coaching others to use self-service reporting, you're focused on creating value through data.
You'll enjoy working in a large, complex organisation where priorities evolve, collaboration is key and continuous improvement is encouraged. You're naturally curious about new technologies and open to exploring automation, AI-enabled tools and modern analytics approaches that improve efficiency and deliver better business outcomes.
To be considered, you'll bring:
- Significant experience in business intelligence, analytics or a related technical discipline.
- Advanced Power BI capability, including data modelling, dashboard development, performance optimisation and deployment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and data preparation skills.
- Experience developing reporting solutions, automated analytics and measurable process improvements.
- Strong experience working across multiple enterprise data sources, with a sound understanding of data quality, governance, business rules and data definitions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, commercially relevant insights.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence outcomes across technical and business teams.
Experience in procurement, finance, commercial or supply chain analytics within a large, complex organisation will be highly regarded. Experience with Oracle Fusion, ServiceNow or Power Automate, along with exposure to AI-enabled technologies, would also be advantageous.
