We’re looking for an experienced Identity Platform Architect to join Virgin Australia’s security platform team. In this role you’ll help shape how identity and access management secures VA’s most critical systems.  

What you’ll be doing 

As an Identity Platform Architect, you’ll take identity integrations from concept to production. You’ll partner with application teams, security architects and platform engineers to onboard crown-jewel applications into Virgin Australia’s enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform.  From designing identity models to implementing the “last mile” of provisioning and access governance, you’ll work across the full lifecycle of IAM platform delivery.  

You’ll help evolve our One Identity Manager platform, so it scales securely across the organisation while enabling teams to deliver applications safely and quickly.  

In this role you will design and deliver IAM platform capabilities including: 

• Design and implement identity governance solutions using One Identity Manager
• Configure and maintain core One Identity Manager components including processes, scripts, synchronisation jobs, schedules, troubleshooting provisioning workflows, synchronisation processes and platform jobs
• Build scalable identity lifecycle processes including Joiner, Mover and Leaver automation 
• Develop and maintain integrations between One Identity Manager and enterprise applications using REST, SOAP and SCIM APIs
• Develop identity provisioning workflows that integrate enterprise systems with the One Identity Manager platform
• Design identity data models and entitlement structures to support least-privilege access
• Implement automated deprovisioning to reduce standing access and strengthen security posture
• Build reusable identity onboarding patterns to accelerate integration of new applications
• Integrate IAM capabilities with enterprise platforms including: 
• Directory services 
• HR identity sources 
• SaaS platforms 
• Cloud platforms 
• Operate in agile delivery environments, owning delivery outcomes and communicating progress across technical and business stakeholders

You’ll be great in this role if you…

• Bring deep hands-on experience implementing and operating One Identity Manager in enterprise environments 
• Have strong knowledge of Identity Governance and Administration concepts including: identity lifecycle management , role-based access control, access certification, segregation of duties  
• Have delivered production IAM integrations for complex enterprise applications 
• Are comfortable designing identity models, entitlement structures and provisioning workflows 
• Have strong scripting and automation capability using technologies such as: REST, SOAP and SCIM APIs , VB.NET (highly desirable) , ServiceNow (desirable) , SQL , Git (for version & change control) 
• Thrive working across multiple engineering and security teams to deliver secure solutions 

It’s even better if you also ... 

• Have experience integrating IAM with platforms such as: Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Various other Enterprise SaaS applications  
• Have worked in regulated environments (e.g. PCI DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc) 
• Hold One Identity or similar IAM platform certifications 
• Have experience operating IAM platforms in large-scale enterprises environments
