We’re the airline that dares to be different, bold, down-to-earth and built around giving our guests real choice. Safety is our backbone, service is our heartbeat, and our people are our superpower.

At Virgin Australia, we’re on a mission to be Australia’s most loved airline for our people, our guests and our owners and we’re looking for passionate talent to help take us even higher.

We’re vibrant, authentic and unapologetically human. Here, you can bring your whole self, your Virgin Flair and your ambition to a team that champions individuality, innovation and a whole lot of heart. If you’re excited by meaningful work, real opportunities to grow, and a culture where you can genuinely make a difference, you’ll feel right at home with us.

What you’ll be doing…

In our People team, we live and breathe what makes Virgin Australia special. We’re champions of authenticity, creating an environment where everyone can bring their true selves and their Virgin Flair to work. We lead with heart, but we back it with smart, disciplined execution.

In this role, you’ll help bring our People Strategy and Transformation priorities to life by turning data into meaningful insights, keeping projects moving and making sure the right people have the right information at the right time.

You’ll take a hands-on role across a broad portfolio, including:

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of People Strategy metrics, dashboards and reporting that provide clear visibility of workforce trends, risks and outcomes.
  • Collecting, validating and reconciling people data from agreed sources, helping maintain data quality and integrity.
  • Analysing workforce data to identify trends, emerging issues and opportunities, and translating these into practical insights that support decision-making.
  • Supporting recurring reporting and dashboards using tools including Excel and Power BI.
  • Providing project and program coordination across priority People Strategy and Transformation initiatives, keeping plans, milestones, actions, dependencies, risks and decisions on track.
  • Coordinating cross-functional working groups and project activity, including meeting preparation, action tracking and follow-up.
  • Supporting initiative owners to establish clear scope, deliverables, timelines and measures of success.
  • Preparing draft dashboards, presentations, governance papers and progress updates for senior People leaders and People forums.
  • Bringing together information from multiple workstreams into clear, concise and decision-focused reporting.
  • Identifying opportunities to simplify, standardise or automate recurring reporting, administration and project coordination activities.

You’ll also build strong working relationships across the People team and the wider business, bringing a proactive, practical approach and taking ownership to see things through from start to finish.

You’ll be great in this role if you…

  • Have experience in project or program coordination, with a strong track record of keeping actions and priorities moving through to completion.
  • Have experience working with data, reporting and analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Are highly organised and able to coordinate multiple priorities, stakeholders and deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Have experience preparing reports, dashboards or presentations for senior stakeholders.
  • Have strong Excel, Power Query and PowerPoint capability, with the ability to turn complex information into simple, clear messages.
  • Can analyse data and identify meaningful insights and trends, rather than just reporting the numbers.
  • Have excellent attention to detail and strong planning and coordination skills.
  • Are a clear and confident communicator who can build effective relationships across different teams and stakeholders.
  • Are proactive, practical and comfortable taking ownership, following up and solving problems along the way.
