What you will be doing:

As we continue our transformation journey, we’re looking for a curious, analytical and driven Flight Operations Strategy Analyst to join our Flight Operations Strategy and Transformation team.

This team helps define and deliver Virgin Australia’s long term strategic direction. Leveraging data driven insights, commercial acumen and close collaboration with senior leaders, the team supports initiatives that enhance operational performance, drive sustainable growth and create lasting value across the business.

Reporting to the Head of Flight Operations Strategy & Transformation, you will:

• Support the development and delivery of Flight Operations strategy and transformation initiatives
• Provide strategic, commercial, and financial analysis to inform business decisions and improve operational performance
• Lead smaller projects and contribute to larger cross functional programs that drive organisational success
• Monitor performance metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the execution of strategic priorities
• Develop compelling presentations and communicate insights effectively to senior stakeholders
• Collaborate across the business to drive alignment, influence outcomes, and support Virgin Australia’s long-term growth and success

You'll be great in this role if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline
• Up to 4 years’ experience in strategy, finance, consulting, data analysis, or a related field (including internships and graduate roles)
• Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with data
• Strong communication and presentation development skills
• Ability to think strategically and approach challenges in a structured way
• Understanding of core business principles and financial analysis
