The role:

As a Flight Operations Analyst, you will work in the Flight Operations Engineering team supporting highly skilled and experienced Engineers. You will be accountable for the analysis, maintenance, and coordination of company processes supporting the functions of Aircraft Performance and Weight & Balance within the Virgin Australia Group.

The position is based in Brisbane Head Office.

As a Flight Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Tracking recency of Aeronautical sources (i.e. obstacle surveys and other airport data updates) and when updates available, action data entry to Flight Operations Engineering (FOE) templates.
  • Review of Aeronautical Data produced by 3rd parties (i.e. Navigation Database).
  • Monitor and review temporary changes at airports from NOTAMs and other sources, that may impact operations.
  • Produce and maintain standardized aircraft performance information for flight crew, flight dispatchers and interested third parties.
  • Produce and maintain standardized fuel efficiency products. i.e. Performance Deterioration Allowances.
  • Produce and maintain standardized aircraft loading systems data i.e. Load Control Advisory, Fleet Operational Data Summary.
  • Monitor and review feedback from all Key Stakeholders providing accurate responses within a reasonable timeframe.

What you need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation or Engineering, or demonstrated working experience in Airline operations
  • High level experience in Ms Excel,
  • Self drive and initiative to find and complete task with minimal direction.
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills including report writing
  • Maintaining and developing effective stakeholder relationships
