What you’ll be doing…

As a Senior Software Engineer in our Digital team, you’ll contribute to the design, development and delivery of high-quality software solutions that power our customer and operational experiences.

We’re currently hiring for two distinct opportunities:

• Greenfield build –Assist in leading the engineering of a new platform from the ground up, making key decisions on architecture, tooling and engineering standards.
• Platform evolution – Making key decisions on the design and build and ensuring engineering standards are fit for purpose.

Across both streams, you will:

• Design, build and enhance customer-facing web applications using React, JavaScript and TypeScript
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, designers and engineers to deliver features end-to-end
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers, supporting their growth and development
• Ensure a strong focus on performance, usability and customer experience
• Leverage modern engineering practices and AI-assisted tools to improve development efficiency and quality
• Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation across systems and processes
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement across engineering practices, tools and ways of working

You will be great in this role if you have…

• Proven experience as a senior software engineer building modern web applications (React, JavaScript, TypeScript)
• Strong capability in designing and delivering scalable, high-performing systems
• Solid understanding of front-end fundamentals (HTML, CSS, responsive design)
• Experience contributing to technical design and architecture decisions
• A track record of writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code
• Experience working in Agile, cross-functional teams
• A passion for mentoring and supporting the growth of other engineers
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership in fast-paced environments
