Metasearch Optimisation Specialist

What you’ll be doing:

As a Metasearch Optimisation Specialist you’ll drive the growth of Virgin Australia’s presence on platforms like Google Flights, Skyscanner, Kayak and emerging partners.

You’ll optimise channel performance, improve traffic quality and boost revenue by managing partner relationships, leveraging data insights and ensuring operational readiness. You’ll also support key commercial and distribution programs while providing expertise across areas like Revenue Management, Alliances, NDC and AI-driven travel models.

You’ll be great in this role if you:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Business or Ecommerce
  • Have 3+ years experience in digital e-commerce (website and app) and 5+ years in travel (airlines, GDSs, or OTAs)
  • Know how to work in Agile environments using scrum/squad methodologies
  • Have a proven track record of driving online sales and delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Bring expertise in metasearch, airline e-commerce, OTAs and online travel aggregators
  • Have experience in commercial partnership management
  • Excel in digital merchandising across web and app platforms.
  • Communicate clearly and persuasively with a passion for innovation and trying new ideas
  • Are confident collaborating across teams and supporting leaders at all levels
  • Understand Adobe Analytics and Test/Target, plus personalisation strategies for merchandising
  • Have a sharp eye for detail and spotting opportunities
  • Understand travel products and distribution including flights, hotels, cars and OTAs
