The objective of the Operations Transformation team is to deliver key Transformation Projects across Engineering & Maintenance and the Operations Division to meet our long-term operational and financial goals while supporting the business in the identification, prioritisation, and delivery of long-term projects.
Reporting to the Head of Fleet Planning & Optimisation, the Engineering Transformation & Strategy Specialist role will support the delivery of Transformation and Strategy best practices. The successful candidate will actively engage with Engineering & Maintenance and Operations stakeholders to lead, drive, and support operational strategic improvements and business transformation.
In addition, you will:
- Build foundational data sets analysis and relationships with the analytical community across E&M, Operations, and the company, becoming the go-to specialist in specific systems and data sets.
- Benefits valuation of initiatives either working directly with the business units or supporting project managers and subject matter experts
- Regular financial reporting of transformation progress
- Modelling data and business processes and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
- Identifying issues, risks, and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts
- Simplifying information and deciphering technical jargon so it is easily understood by the whole team.
What you need to be successful:
- Experience in strategy, transformation or consulting roles, or Finance FP&A experience
- Analysis of Engineering data to drive transformation or continuous improvement outcomes.
- Finance cost analysis, forecasting, optimisation, project benefits, financial reporting, or management accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusting, effective ongoing business relationships with diverse groups of people across the organisation.
- Ability to interpret complex data, and draw, visualise, and present recommendations to stakeholder groups.
- Advanced Excel skills and/or Power BI skills.
