What you’ll be doing…
As an Engineering Documentation Officer you will manage, monitor and track the identification, registration, distribution and verification of technical publications, approved data and engineering policy and procedures manuals to support the Engineering and Maintenance operations of Virgin Australia.
In addition, you will also:
- Process incoming technical data and information from external sources (OEMs, NAAs etc.)
- Process internal technical data and information notices
- Verify and Self Audit data and documentation for currency in accordance with procedures
- Archive engineering and maintenance related regulatory approvals
- Maintain and control access to Original Equipment Manufacturers log-ins by users
- Continuous Improvement involvement in means and methods of handling documents
- Assist in the elaboration of monthly reports
You will be great in this role if you have…
- Minimum 2 yrs in a technical administrative role of similar scope
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint,
- Experience managing software systems used for the electronic delivery of maintenance data.
- Proven ability to manage revision, authorisation, and publication cycles for various technical documents.
- Capability to review and recommend improvements to procedure
- Sound written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate and prioritise assigned tasks in a logical manner.
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
- Understanding of revision control, release cycle and document/data updates cycles
Desirable:
- Awareness of documentation and/or technical data used by Engineering and Maintenance within an aviation environment
- Experience in Publishing Hub or Comply 365
- A diploma or equivalent in a relevant discipline, such as librarian, IT specialisations, or detailed knowledge of technical library functions is desirable
- Knowledge of the Civil Aviation Regulations (Australian, NZ, FAA & EASA) pertaining to aircraft technical documentation.
