We’re the airline that’s always done things a little different. Our way. The Virgin way. For us, flying is so much more than simply taking off and landing (although we understand that is quite important). It’s about going the extra mile, in the air and on the ground, to create authentic experiences that put our guests firmly at the heart of everything we do.

What you will be doing:

As a Safety Training & Promotions Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and delivering modern, high-impact safety training and communication strategies that enhance safety awareness and compliance across the business. You will work closely with operational teams to promote a proactive safety culture, ensuring our people have the knowledge and tools to uphold the highest standards of safety.

Key Responsibilities -

  • Develop and deliver engaging safety training through digital platforms, video content, and live sessions.
  • Create impactful internal safety communications, using modern engagement techniques such as microlearning, AI, and interactive content.
  • Ensure safety training programs remain current by incorporating new trends, stakeholder feedback, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to align safety messages and training initiatives across operational teams.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine training content and improve safety engagement strategies.
  • Leverage digital tools such as LMS, MS Teams, intranet platforms, and multimedia channels to enhance safety learning.

The ideal candidate:

  • Knowledge of Safety Management principles and a passion for promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Experience in training design and delivery, including digital learning and e-learning development.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with internal communication strategies to effectively promote safety initiatives.
  • Proficiency in digital tools such as Canva, Videoscribe, and agile platforms like Jira (desirable).
  • Experience in Articulate Storyline, and video-based development of training materials

We’re committed to looking after you, with some of the best benefits and conditions in the industry – including (but not limited to):

  • Discounted flights for you and your loved ones (including $1000 worth of travel credits per year)
  • One of Brisbane’s most admired head office locations, with South Bank train station, a supermarket, pharmacy, and lunch options downstairs plus a 5-minute walk to the Busway, a rooftop restaurant and onsite gym (with a low membership fee) and South Bank Parklands just across the road
  • Discounts on travel insurance, lounge membership, car hire, accommodation, and experiences worldwide
  • Cheaper hospitality, retail, technology, beauty and wellness services
  • A comprehensive Employee Assistance Program, which offers confidential coaching and support from qualified professionals for all aspects of life – physical, mental, social and financial
