About Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA)
VARA operates out of Perth Airport and has a fleet of F100 and A320 aircraft that predominantly conduct charter operations throughout regional Western Australia. VARA is on a growth path, with the recent announcement of the procurement of eight Embraer E190-E2 aircraft. We have a strong focus on supporting our major clients in the mining industry - the future is exciting! As VARA continues to expand, we will soon move into our new State-of-the-art maintenance facility and are investing in new aircraft to secure future growth!
Our Aircraft Maintenance Organisation (AMO) is responsible for the delivery of safe and efficient aircraft maintenance services to Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA) & Virgin Australia Airlines (VAA).
Who we are looking for:
As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with VARA AMO, you will conduct maintenance activities on F100, A320, B737 & E190-E2 aircraft, under supervision of a Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME). You will provide safe and efficient maintenance expertise, ensuring regulatory and airworthiness requirements are fully met.
Key responsibilities:
- Conducting maintenance activities under supervision of a Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME), ensuring regulatory and airworthiness requirements are fully met
- Perform operational duties in accordance with company exposition and procedures in various work environments
- Notifying LAME of any significant defects found during maintenance activities and tooling requirements
- Ensuring that all maintenance activities are conducted safely and in accordance with the relevant manuals, company procedures and regulations
- Maintaining good housekeeping practices in the work area
What you need to be successful:
- Demonstrated experience in Aircraft Line Maintenance and/or Heavy Maintenance activity
- A certificate IV in Aeroskills or equivalent
- Hold or ability to hold an Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate (AROC)
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the engineering team
- Proactive & diligent nature towards aircraft maintenance, housekeeping and safe work practices
- Ability to embed yourself as part of a highly qualified, motivated team
- Sound aircraft maintenance hand skills
- Availability to work off shift work roster pattern
