What you’ll be doing…
As a Senior Production Planner, reporting to the Maintenance Leader, you will be supporting the delivery of the Technical Operations and Aircraft Maintenance Strategy, relating to:
Managing a small team of Production Planners specialising in the planning of all line maintenance scheduled work requirements. The Senior Production Planner has direct liaison with the airline planning, fleet technical and supply departments to provide a seamless transition from the airline to the MRO production teams for maintenance delivery.
You will liaise with maintenance teams, operators, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of maintenance activities while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
This role is Monday - Friday (office hours) but must have flexibility to cover shifts if required (shift allowance provided)
This will include:
- Overseeing the planning and development of hangar and gate maintenance to ensure optimal efficiency within Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Providing supervision of Production Planners to ensure that maintenance tasks are carried out to standards and timelines
- Coordinating resources and facilities to ensure work packages are achievable, protecting OTP.
- Reviewing quotation packs from stakeholders as required
- Leading the team through effective communication and leading by example. Creating feedback and coaching plans to support development.
- Identify and implement improvement strategies within the planning and delivery of maintenance.
You’ll be great in this role if you have…
- Extensive experience in aviation or a similar field in Production Planning and/or Maintenance Planning
- Understanding of aviation regulations, particularly CASA rule parts 42 & 145.
- Demonstrated ability in high service delivery and understanding of SLA and service principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Supervision of staff and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage short notice changes to planned workloads.
- Good problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and implement change
- Demonstrated safety and quality management skills.
- Experience using the Microsoft office suite (intermediate)
- Experience using TRAX and My Boeing Fleet
- Demonstrated capability in the design of maintenance processes to support efficient and safe operations
- The understanding and ability to create job instruction cards based on OEM and industry standard
Desired but not essential…..
- Certification in Aeroskills or relevant tertiary qualification
- General knowledge of aviation tooling and GSE requirements to acquit maintenance.
