What you’ll be doing

As an Operations Controller, you'll be at the heart of our operations, managing flight schedules, minimizing disruptions, and ensuring a seamless experience for our passengers and clients. Your quick thinking and problem-solving skills will be critical in helping us maintain schedule integrity and regulatory compliance.

In this role, you'll have a dynamic and varied day, taking charge of operational planning, coordination, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

This is a 12 month full time contract.

This will include…..

  • Proactive Problem Solving: Continuously monitor all aspects of the operation, identify potential impacts, and take action to reduce disruptions.
  • Communication & Coordination: Be the primary contact for all operational situations, keeping teams informed and ensuring smooth handovers.
  • Disruption Management: Assess resources, implement disruption plans, and make real-time decisions to keep our network running.
  • Charter Coordination: Handle the planning and execution of charter services, balancing client needs with operational efficiency.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Maintain compliance with regulatory, security, and crew requirements while keeping accurate documentation for emergency response.

Undertake trainer role/s for new intake staff where required or ad-hoc training where required and provide assistance with other team members as required both planning and day of Ops. This may extend to another department within the business if required

You’ll be great in this role if you have…

  • A strong understanding of cross-functional operations and crew management.
  • An ability to remain calm and decisive in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Solid experience within an Operations Control Centre environment.
  • Flexibility with shifts ( Willingness to work rotating shifts (AM and PM shifts operate between the hours  of 3.00AM – 10.00PM) excepting 1 rotation to 12.30PM – Roster patterns are generally 4 days on 3 off or 4 days on 4 off. ** Shift patterns and operating time can be subject to change dependant on business needs.)
