Reliability Analyst

What you’ll be doing

The objective of the Reliability Analyst is to support continuous review and analysis of aircraft data, ensuring the accuracy and overall effectiveness of the reliability program is maintained and delivers continued safe operations in line with performance targets in the most cost effective manner.

The Reliability Analyst is responsible for the ongoing review of the reliability program, as well as the development of reports/analysis methods to determine the reliability or components, equipment and processes and identify areas of improvement.

As a Reliability Analyst you will play a key role as an initiator, enabler and project leader of innovative development within the team leading to enhanced Reliability Program outcomes leveraging off the latest advances in digital technology.

This role is a full time, permanent position base at the Brisbane Airport Hangar.

This will include but not be limited to…

  • Initiate actions to enhance aircraft fleet performance and to deliver aircraft dispatch reliability targets.
  • Provide technical analysis of performance data to optimise System & amp component reliability and increase component time on wing
  • Enhance data analytics capability using tools and platforms, leveraging off OEM In Service Data Program (ISDP) cost effectively to improve fleet reliability and benchmarking metrics
  • Development of customized IT applications for visualisation of real time fleet performance data
  • Engineering focal for partnering with digital platforms (eg: Power BI) ensuring benefits of data services such as creation of customized analytics tools and dashboards
  • Reliability database management as well as Reliability program review analysis to validate and update Performance Alerts
  • Assessing delays and cancellations via the Delay Management Process to identify chronic ATA faults and correctly allocate Tech Chargeable delays to the respective ATA
  • Initiate maintenance actions to address chronic ATA system faults to prevent recurrences and consequential operations disruptions

You’ll be great in this role if you have…

  • Hold or have held an aircraft engineer license or have a qualification in aviation maintenance management at least at diploma level or equivalent / or have an extensive reliability/IT analysis background.
  • Relevant work experience with at least 3 years in an Airline Engineering role for aircraft that are the same, or of a similar type, as the aircraft operated by the airline would be highly regarded
  • Advanced Computer and Data Analysis Skills, Trax Operating Systems (EMS) would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance regulations and standards applicable to the aircraft maintenance programs and reliability programs
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrated knowledge of continuing airworthiness, aircraft maintenance and appropriate regulatory requirements
