The Role:

We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Resource Analyst to join our Workforce Planning Analytics team. This role is based at Brisbane head office in South Bank, and you will work closely with Workforce Planning Leadership, Resource Planning teams and the Training Academy.

As a Resource Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Conduct analysis of flight schedules, customer demographics and load factors to create a resource plan for assigned port/s, that provides adequate operational coverage to meet safety and customer metrics
  • Undertake analysis to inform operational budgets and reforecasts and maintain / modify resource plans to meet budget
  • Ensure resource plans are compliant with EBA requirements
  • Update system inputs and flight planning rules to ensure dynamic planning meets operational requirements
  • Provide recommendations on opportunities to be more efficient with resource planning
  • Complete ad-hoc analysis and ‘what if’ scenarios to make recommendations to stakeholders on best approach for labour allocation / mix
  • Review expenditure and identify areas for business and productivity improvement in line with the divisional strategy

 What you need to be successful:

  • Demonstrated data analysis experience in a similar role with an understanding of resource management strategies, ideally within aviation
  • Intermediate skills in MS Excel and experience in a resource management system
  • Ability to put narrative to numbers, and make objective recommendations about shift design and coverage
  • To bring a creative mindset to problem solving within a safety, cost and productivity-focused operational environment
  • A high level of prioritisation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
