What you’ll be doing:

The objective of the Revenue Accountant role is to develop/maintain best practice systems, processes and controls to ensure that forward sales, interline, no show and ancillary revenue is accounted for accurately and in a timely manner. The role involves understanding and analysing data with a view to continuous improvement, to drive efficiencies and keep pace with industry and business change.

Responsibilities include:

  • Revenue Accounting and Month End responsibilities including;
    • Accurate and timely production of revenue/un-earned revenue, breakage and interline related results
    • Review and analysis of revenue/un-earned revenue and interline items for accuracy and reasonableness
    • Provide data or analysis to finance/ business to support the monthly results including adhoc requirement for information
    • Ensure compliance with relevant submissions regarding IATA, tax and other authorities
  • Ensure completion of all balance sheet reconciliations
  • Build effective & productive working relationships across the business and within finance
  • Manage the development and maintenance of systems, processes, and controls for your area
  • Compile audit work files with supporting documentation for external auditors
  • Ensure all recommendations from Internal Audit are actioned in a timely manner
  • Continuously look to identify and implement process improvements in relation to revenue accounting and processes
  • Foster a positive working atmosphere

Who we’re looking for:

  • Accounting or Finance degree
  • CPA/ CA Qualification (or working towards gaining this)
  • High level of computer literacy, including advanced Excel spread sheet skills
  • 3-5 years accounting experience, ideally in Revenue Accounting
  • Experience in month-end accounting processes
  • Experience in a dynamic environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to improve processes
  • An eye for detail and ability to efficiently analyse financial information
  • Aviation experience is preferred, but not essential
