What you’ll be doing
As the People Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analysing and interpreting employee data to support informed decision-making for the People and Leadership team.
You will be a fast learner with strong skills in Excel and Power BI; bringing confident communication and relationship building skills to liaise with a diverse group of stakeholders across the Virgin Australia Group.
- Coordinate and conduct weekly, monthly and ad-hoc People Reporting.
- Support Business leaders, Finance and Procurement by providing People-related data and insights to support business decision making.
- Collect, clean, and maintain People data, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights on employee behaviour, engagement, and satisfaction.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to the People team and leadership in a clear and concise manner.
- Centrally co-ordinate headcount requests to ensure that appropriate approvals received and aligned to business cases.
- Develop and maintain HR metrics, dashboards, and reports to track key People KPIs.
- Collaborate with People and other cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision making.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in HR data analytics.
You’ll be great in this role if you…
- Tertiary level education and looking to build your career in the Data Analytics space.
- Strong analytical and data visualisation skills.
- Knowledge of reporting and analytics and its application across Business and Shared Services functions.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel & Power BI (VBA & Power Query).
- Strong experience using data management systems and manipulating large data sets.
- Experience developing and delivering reporting solutions and providing insightful commentary for business stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Power Automate and other automation tools would be advantageous.
