What you’ll be doing:

As a Designer your role is to produce customer-centric creative to specifications for a variety of channels, taking into consideration design, brand and marketing principles. You will live and breathe best-practice design and share the responsibility of upholding the brand guidelines and governance of the design system. This role runs across both Virgin Australia and its loyalty program, Velocity Frequent Flyer.

This is a 12 month maximum term contract opportunity.

You’ll be great in this role if you:

  • Are tertiary qualified in design, visual communications or a closely related discipline
  • Have strong experience in design of creative assets across various media formats for a complete campaign rollout across owned, earned and paid media
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and short deadlines
  • Are proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite with a keen attention to detail
  • Can apply project brand standards
  • Have maintained an image library for use on various media which includes liaising and negotiating with stakeholders
  • Can showcase an impressive design portfolio and ability to create technically accurate work in accordance with briefed requirements (desirable)
  • Enjoy communicating both internally and externally with the ability to speak to your work confidently (desirable)
  • Understand the relationship between design and copy and keen interest in current design trends (desirable)
  • Have a strong understanding of video and motion design principles (desirable)
  • Have a strong understanding of design and marketing principles including best practice email design along with UX and UI (desirable)
  • Can design and produce work from concept development through to print and post-production using your ability to identify trends and innovations in design and advertising (desirable)
