Bring on wonderful careers.

We're on a mission to bring new and uplifting experiences to our guests, transforming flying from simply 'nice', to something wonderful.

Like any good mission, this one starts with our people.

Which is why we encourage our team to embody the fun, laid back, authentic spirit we've become famous for. Because when they're free to be themselves, they're better able to own their personal responsibilities and go the extra mile to help our guests.

Team Travel Consultant

We’re the airline that’s always done things a little different. Our way. The Virgin way. For us, flying is so much more than simply taking off and landing (although we understand that is quite important). It’s about going the extra mile, in the air and on the ground, to create authentic experiences that put our guests firmly at the heart of everything we do.

The Opportunity:

We may be a small team, but we’re also “the most loved team” in the business — and why wouldn’t we be? We're passionate about creating extraordinary experiences, full of energy, and have fantastic offerings to back it up.

As a Team Travel Consultant, you’ll play a key role in facilitating International Travel requirements for Virgin Australia employees and contractors on corporate duty travel. You’ll ensure every request is managed and delivered based on the specific needs of our travellers.

You’ll also be the first point of contact for escalations from our dedicated support team in Manila, helping our employees with both Leisure and Duty Travel needs. On top of that, you’ll collaborate with the Travel Specialist and Manager to identify new opportunities that enhance our employee offerings to bring on wonderful.

Key responsibilities:

  • Facilitate domestic and international travel arrangements for Virgin Australia employees and contractors, ensuring seamless corporate duty travel experiences.
  • Manage travel requests, including flights, accommodation, and transport, while ensuring compliance with corporate travel policies.
  • Act as the first point of contact for escalations from the offshore support team, resolving travel concerns for both Leisure and Duty Travel.
  • Provide expert travel guidance and tailored recommendations based on traveller needs and policy guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the employee travel experience and collaborate with the Travel Specialist and Manager on service improvements.
  • Analyse travel trends, costs, and booking patterns to provide data-driven insights and support operational efficiency.
  • Support policy review and updates to improve travel programs and ensure alignment with company objectives.

What you need to be successful:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to superior customer service.
  • Excellent attention to detail and meticulous accuracy.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Solid time management skills and ability to prioritise.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of most Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good knowledge of GDS systems such as Sabre (Interact).
  • Sound knowledge of the travel industry, including visa requirements, booking processes, and key destinations.
  • Intermediate IATA fares and ticketing experience.
