The role:
Reporting to the Integrated Planning Manager, the Operations Schedule Change Specialist will play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient flying operations. Your main objective will be to enhance operational performance by balancing business and operational requirements while driving best practices across departments.
In this role, you will act as the main liaison between schedule changes and Operations (including Workforce Planning), focusing on the short-term lead-up to roster publication and day-of-operations adjustments. You’ll also be responsible for communicating strategic changes to frontline teams, ensuring a unified approach to execution, and influencing outcomes after final schedule agreements are made.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure our business operations follow best practices.
- Effectively communicate short-term schedule strategies to frontline operational teams.
- Partner with the Ops Schedule Integration Specialist to establish and refine scheduling rules and baseline requirements.
- Lead analytical reviews and present insights on the financial and operational impacts of schedule changes.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to implement changes in schedule design, such as block times and peak planning.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Support change management initiatives within Integrated Operations and the wider Ops stream.
- Analyse operational data in partnership with the Data and Insights team to identify trends and inefficiencies.
What you need to be successful:
- Minimum 3 years in Operational Logistics, Scheduling, or Resource Planning.
- Demonstrated experience in Aviation or Logistical Scheduling Leadership.
- Previous experience building and manage strong stakeholder relationships.
- Proven experience in navigating operational challenges with a focus on cost-efficiency and people management.
- Familiarity with change management in dynamic, operational environments.
- Strong planning, organizational skills, and a strategic approach to business improvement.
- Financial acumen with exposure to budget management in operational contexts.
- Effective communication skills, with a talent for crafting clear and impactful messages.
- Ability to communicate ideas persuasively to gain buy-in and drive alignment on strategic initiatives.
- Strong ability to manage time effectively, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
