Hello. We’re Virgin Australia. We’re the airline that’s always done things a little different. Our way. The Virgin way. We’re on a mission to make flying better than ‘nice’. And to do that, it takes a team of talented people who are passionate about customer experience, doing the right thing always, with a focus on safety – in the air, on the ground and in our workplaces. A team who values real diversity and inclusion, in a big brand with big ambitions.
Candidates must be Brisbane based, or willing to relocate.
What you’ll be doing
The Senior Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in bringing Virgin Australia’s Digital and Commercial strategy to life; developing features, products, and experiences that our guests and partners love. Embedded within the Digital Squads, you’ll lead the discovery, definition, and delivery of initiatives that enhance our digital performance across retailing, distribution, and core Passenger Service Systems (PSS).
You’ll partner closely with Product Owners, Architects, and Commercial stakeholders to identify and define business problems, build robust business cases, map complex processes, and translate business needs into clear user stories and requirements. You’ll also lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), support verification activities, and mentor other Business Analysts in the Digital domain.
This role will have a strong focus on Airline Retailing Transformation, leveraging your expertise across core platforms like SabreSonic PSS, and your understanding of next-generation retailing standards such as NDC (New Distribution Capability) and OOSD (Offer, Order, Settle, Deliver).
You’ll be great in this role if you have

5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within digital, aviation, or large-scale commercial environments

Proven experience developing and standing up large-scale business cases in complex, cross-functional settings
-
