Security Intelligence Advisor

Reporting to the Head of Group Security and based at Brisbane HQ, the Security Intelligence Advisor plays a key role in supporting the Group Security Department by managing law enforcement agency partnerships and providing critical intelligence analysis and insights. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational intelligence to support Group Security functions.
  • Lead the coordination and delivery of Group Security Committee Meetings.
  • Manage the Law Enforcement Request program, including relationships with government agencies.
  • Prepare statements and provide evidence in court when required.
  • Action law enforcement agency (LEA) requests and notifications in a timely manner to ensure compliance.
  • Respond to escalated security and law enforcement matters promptly while maintaining customer service excellence and regulatory adherence.
  • Conduct aviation security compliance activities and support internal compliance programs.
  • Actively contribute to the Safety Management System (SMS) and Security Management System (SeMS) by identifying and reporting hazards.
  • Fulfill the responsibilities of On-Call Duty Security Officer as required.

 

What you need to be successful:

  • Completion of secondary school education.
  • Strong ability to analyse and interpret intelligence information.
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain a national security clearance at the ‘Secret’ level.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach to regulatory compliance and risk assessment.
  • Ability to respond to security matters with urgency while maintaining customer service excellence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in intelligence, law enforcement, or security operations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, particularly in high-pressure situations.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
