Leader Crew Culture - Guest Services Melbourne

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Leader Crew Culture to join our Guest Services team. Based out of Melbourne Airport you will inspire, develop, and lead a large team of Guest Service Agents. In this position, you will ensure people are set up for success whilst championing a workplace culture that supports our people to deliver memorable moments to our guests.

 

In addition, you will:

  • Display visible leadership to your team of approximately 150 Guest Services Agents.
  • Work alongside our Customer Experience Managers to ensure our people are delivering a truly Virgin experience for our guests.
  • Develop and monitor your team members performance in line with Virgin Australia’s strategic vision and purpose, taking proactive steps where needed.
  • Proactively support and manage the health and well-being of all team members and their needs.
  • Work closely with your leader and people partners to reach positive outcomes on all people matters.
  • Drive engagement and foster an environment of strong, cohesive teamwork.
  • Be responsive and solutions focussed to emerging people matters that may impact the effective running of the operation.

What you need to be successful:

  • A warm and positive demeanour that builds trusting and lasting relationships with your team members.
  • Experience in leading large, diverse teams in a fast-paced organisation whilst being able to prioritise your efforts on what matters most.
  • A solutions-focused attitude to resolving people problems that balances the needs of our people and the effective running of our business.
  • The ability to build upon and embed a workplace culture that has our values at its heart.  
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider crew culture team to achieve shared goals.
  • Good understanding of working to the scope of an Enterprise Agreement. 
  • Strong understanding of change management principles, techniques and tools.
  • Whilst not essential, aviation experience working in airports is highly desirable.
