An opportunity has become available for a Specialist Advisor, Procurement to join our Group Procurement Department. In this challenging and dynamic role, you will be responsible for developing catering category management strategy's ensuring Virgin Australia Airlines achieves the best value service provision and cost management through the application of quality procurement practices and processes in supplier, category, and relationship management.

Reporting to the Manager, Procurement you will effectively engage with a number of key stakeholders to undertake a range of procurement activities whilst recognising the critical importance of understanding, categorising and analysing their procurement operational and capital expenditure to identify savings opportunities. As such, you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

To be a front runner, you will have a good understanding of procurement techniques and practices and your extensive experience in the provision of professional advice in high volume procurement operations will compliment this. In addition to this, your demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of category management strategies combined with your well-developed relationships with catering supply chain providers will be highly advantageous.
