What you’ll be doing

As a Storeperson you will be responsible for the correct receipt, storage, issue and dispatch of all inventory in accordance with Virgin Tech’s policies and procedures.

You will provide specialist support functions to both aircraft maintenance and ramp operations teams, including warehousing and logistics, tooling and ground support equipment management, training management, maintenance forward planning and resources planning and management.

This role operates on a roster pattern of 2 days/2 nights then 4 off. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory dispatch and receiving goods.
  • Receiving orders, packaging products in accordance with OEM recommendations
  • Return to Stock. Pick, pack and dispatch products to other VT stores, repairs/overhauls to vendors
  • Tool processing (Check/Out) (in accordance with regulations)
  • Requisition processing, shelf life and tool life expiry reporting
  • Manual issue of products to aircraft or Work Orders
  • Segregation of aeronautical, commercial, hazardous and ESD products
  • Ensure accuracy of stock locations (physical location and Trax)
  • Support Cyclic and annual stocktakes

You’ll be great in this role if you have…

  • High School Completion or equivalency
  • Sound computer literacy – This role is 70/30 based computer ration and requires an understanding of computer programs or inventory warehouse systems
  • Demonstrated experience in warehousing or inventory management
  • Proven interpersonal skills
  • High Attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously when required

Desirable

  • Leading hand or supervisory experience
  • Certificate IV in warehousing or equivalent would be advantageous
  • A forklift licence is desirable but not essential

As part of this role, you are required to ….

  • Ability to undertake and clear a Medical assessment and DAMP test
  • Ability lift 23kg
  • Hold a valid Driver’s License
  • Meet Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) requirements
