We’re looking for a Product Lead – IFEC & Cabin to help shape, develop and deliver the next generation of Virgin Australia’s inflight experience.
Working across inflight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC), cabin products and emerging onboard technology, you’ll help turn our inflight product strategy into practical, customer-led experiences that are commercially sound, operationally achievable and distinctly Virgin Australia.
Reporting to the Product Manager – Inflight Experience, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves the intersection of customer experience, aviation, technology and product delivery.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll work closely with teams across Product, Engineering, Fleet, Procurement and Operations, as well as external suppliers and technology partners, to develop and deliver inflight products across both our existing and future fleet.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Supporting the development and delivery of Virgin Australia’s inflight experience across cabin products, IFEC and complementary onboard technologies.
- Turning customer insights, market trends and business priorities into clear product concepts and requirements.
- Researching evolving customer expectations, competitor propositions and emerging technology opportunities.
- Supporting cabin product planning and implementation across new aircraft and retrofit programs.
- Developing product concepts that improve customer comfort, usability, consistency and overall brand experience.
- Coordinating products through their lifecycle, from concept and testing through to implementation, review and continuous improvement.
- Working with internal teams and external partners to test, refine and implement product enhancements.
- Helping develop business cases, investment recommendations, implementation plans and stakeholder materials.
- Supporting supplier engagement, commercial activity and ongoing performance management.
- Monitoring product performance across customer outcomes, cost, service levels, timelines and operational delivery.
- Identifying opportunities across advertising, partnerships and complementary technologies to enhance the inflight proposition.
- Ensuring product changes are effectively communicated and embedded across frontline and operational teams.
You’ll be great in this role if you have
You’ll be someone who can combine strong product thinking with excellent delivery capability. You’re comfortable working across customer, commercial, operational and technical considerations and enjoy bringing multiple stakeholders together to turn ideas into reality.
- Experience in product management, aviation, IFEC, digital or technical product delivery, product design or commercial project delivery.
- A strong track record of developing and delivering customer-focused products in complex environments.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to interpret customer, cost, technical and operational data.
- Excellent stakeholder management, planning, governance and coordination skills.
- Experience managing products through the full product lifecycle.
- The ability to balance customer needs with technical requirements, operational realities and commercial outcomes.
- Experience working with suppliers, partners or technology vendors.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, delivery-focused mindset.
Experience within aviation, airline product, cabin interiors, IFEC, engineering, transport or another regulated industry will be highly regarded, particularly if you’ve worked across major product transformation, fleet integration or capital investment programs.
