We’re the airline that’s always done things a little different. Our way. The Virgin way.

We’re on a mission to make flying better than ‘nice’. And to do that, it takes a team of talented people who are passionate about customer experience, doing the right thing always and putting safety first – in the air, on the ground and in our workplaces.

We’re a team that values diversity, inclusion, innovation and collaboration, backed by a trusted Australian brand with big ambitions.

As a Platform Engineer (Data), you'll help build the cloud data platform that powers smarter decisions across Virgin Australia. Working with modern technologies including Databricks and AWS, you'll design scalable data solutions, automate engineering processes and create reusable frameworks that make it easier for teams to deliver trusted data.

  • Drive automation, CI/CD and engineering best practices to improve platform reliability and developer experience.

  • Optimise data workloads for performance, scalability and cost.

  • Champion modern software engineering practices and AI-assisted tools to improve quality and delivery.

We're currently recruiting for a number of Platform Engineer (Data) positions, offering multiple opportunities to join our growing team.
