What you’ll be doing:
As our Head of Marketing Programs, you'll define the strategy and roadmap for Virgin Australia's marketing technology ecosystem across both Virgin Australia and Velocity.
This is a newly created role where you'll be Marketing's strategic voice into Technology, shaping what gets built, why it matters and how it delivers better customer experiences and commercial outcomes. From Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Tealium CDP to marketing automation and AI, you'll ensure our technology investments are prioritised to maximise impact.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing & Sustainability Officer, you'll partner with leaders across Marketing, Technology, Data, Digital, Customer and Velocity to turn platform capability into meaningful business results.
You’ll be great in this role if you:
- Bring 10+ years' experience in marketing strategy, marketing technology or a related field, including senior leadership experience
- Have deep expertise in marketing technology platforms, including Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Marketing Cloud, Customer Data Platforms (e.g. Tealium or Segment) and marketing automation
- Know how to translate marketing strategy into clear platform, data and technology requirements that deliver commercial outcomes
- Have experience partnering with technology teams in agile environments to shape priorities and guide successful delivery
- Understand how customer data can power personalisation, segmentation, customer journeys and loyalty outcomes
- Have strong commercial acumen, with experience building business cases and prioritising technology investments
- Are a strategic and collaborative leader who can influence and align stakeholders across Marketing, Technology, Data and Executive teams
- Communicate complex ideas with clarity and confidence, adapting your style for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Are data-driven, customer-focused and passionate about using technology to create better customer experiences
- Hold tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business or a related discipline. Experience in aviation, travel, retail, financial services or loyalty-led businesses will be highly regarded
