Hello. We’re Virgin Australia. We’re the airline that’s always done things a little different. Our way. The Virgin way. We’re on a mission to make flying better than ‘nice’. And to do that, it takes a team of talented people who are passionate about customer experience, doing the right thing always, with a focus on safety – in the air, on the ground and in our workplaces. A team who values real diversity and inclusion, in a big brand with big ambitions.
What you’ll be doing
As a technical Business Analyst specialising in AI workflows, you'll play a key role in helping Virgin Australia identify, design and deliver the next generation of AI-powered business processes.
Joining our growing AI Transformation team, you'll sit at the intersection of business process design, technology and artificial intelligence. You'll work closely with subject matter experts, product teams, engineers and change specialists to translate business challenges into practical AI-enabled solutions.
This isn't a traditional Business Analyst role. We're looking for someone who is hands-on designing and configuring agentic workflows using modern no-code and low-code AI platforms.
In this role, you will:
- Design and configure agentic workflows using modern no-code and low-code AI platforms
- Build and test AI workflow prototypes using tools such as n8n, Flowise, Langflow, OpenAI Agent Builder or similar technologies
- Partner with engineers, data teams, security specialists and change teams to ensure solutions are practical, secure and scalable
- Validate prototypes with end users, capturing feedback, risks, edge cases and measures of success
- Define controls around privacy, security, governance and human oversight within AI workflows
- Support testing, user acceptance, release readiness and adoption activities
- Identify process gaps, dependencies and adoption risks, helping delivery teams resolve issues before they impact outcomes
- Create clear documentation, including process maps, requirements, runbooks, support guides and training inputs
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a greenfield AI team that is strategically aligned to the business and taking multiple AI solutions through to production.
You’ll be great in this role if you have…
- Experience with no-code or low-code automation platforms such as n8n, Flowise, Langflow, Power Automate or similar tools.
- A good understanding of core AI concepts such as multi-agent system interaction patterns, context management techniques and tool calling.
- Experience gathering requirements, mapping processes and defining user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Strong systems thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experience working with APIs, integrations, webhooks or event-driven automation.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
Why join us?
You'll be joining Virgin Australia at a pivotal moment in our AI journey.
This is a rare opportunity to help shape how AI is adopted across the organisation, working directly with business leaders and technical teams to redesign workflows and create meaningful business outcomes. You'll gain exposure to leading AI platforms, innovative use cases and a growing team focused on delivering practical AI solutions at scale.
