Head of Product

In this role you will be responsible for defining and delivering a bold product strategy. This role leads innovation and delivery across onboard and lounge experiences, cabin interiors, inflight entertainment and connectivity, and more.  You will set the standard for what it means to be the airline people love.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll set Virgin Australia’s product strategy and lead its execution; covering everything from onboard catering and cabin interiors to inflight entertainment and connectivity. You’ll manage supplier partnerships, drive commercial performance, and deliver experiences that make our guests love flying with us.

This is a role that blends vision with delivery. You will shape experiences that differentiate our brand and delight millions of guests. You’ll influence at the highest levels, manage key supplier partnerships, and lead cross-functional programs that transform the way people experience travel.

You’ll be great in this role if …

You’re a strategic thinker with a passion for customers. You have proven leadership experience in product, commercial, or transformation roles, ideally within aviation or a customer-focused industry. You have experience in delivery and making things happen. You’re confident influencing senior stakeholders and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Must-have requirements:

  • 10–15 years’+ experience in aviation or customer-focused industries
  • Strong background in product development and delivery
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Analytics, or related discipline (MBA desirable)
  • Proven leadership in product, commercial, or transformation roles
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical capability
