What you’ll be doing:

Based out of our Brisbane Head Office, the Business Development Specialist position will focus on Virgin Australia’s Business Flyer program. You will nurture leads, close sign-ups to the program, and increase revenue from existing customers.

This role will have a strong focus on driving sales for new and existing customers, whilst best-practice customer service.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Achieve sales budget and improve revenue growth and revenue quality across SME Business Flyer program
  • Follow up on leads and close sales to increase revenue from existing customers
  • Engage in the crafting of a robust revenue development plan for SME Business Flyer program
  • Consistently meet daily call volume KPIs
  • Work with your team members to ensure all work is being attended to within the outlined SLA’s to achieve team revenue and customer service targets
  • Develop and execute a customer engagement plan (including support from the manager and team).
  • Ensure all telephone calls and emails are handled in a highly professional manner
  • Understand the customers’ needs in order to provide and consult on arrangements
  • Ensure all information provided is clear and accurate
  • Ensure thorough product knowledge of all Virgin Australia products

You’ll be great in this role if you have: 

  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively prioritise.
  • You will have strong commercial influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven experience in negotiating in a competitive environment.
  • You will possess excellent people skills and proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with colleagues, business partners and customers.
  • Sound knowledge of fares and ticketing and/or revenue management principles
  • As an experienced leader, you will have the ability to coach develop and support internal stakeholders to achieve company objectives and foster a culture of continuous learning and development
