What you’ll be doing:

The Head of Retail & Revenue Growth is responsible for crafting and executing strategies to maximise Virgin Australia's profitability, as well as achieving retail and partnership marketing goals. This role involves leading the development of strategic marketing plans for B2C retail and overseeing the tourism and alliance portfolios for both domestic and international operations, with a strong focus on direct-to-consumer marketing and communications across multiple markets. This is a 12 month maximum term contract role.

You’ll be great in this role if you:

  • Come with extensive retail experience and have experience managing commercial sponsorships and partnerships
  • Have robust digital campaign management and proven experience in driving digital media effectiveness
  • Can develop strategy and deliver commercial outcomes, especially in relation to retail and partners
  • Have successfully lead a team to deliver on a plan or strategy
  • Enjoy taking ownership and accountability for a department, delivering ROI and value
  • Have strong leadership and a natural ability to influence and engage key decision makers across all levels of the business
  • Have demonstrated excellence in stakeholder management and building rapport with key partners
  • Approach everything you do with a positive energy and drive and can work under pressure in fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate initiative and are analytical and insight driven
  • Love a customer centric solution but also can challenge the status quo
  • Have a deep knowledge on strategic development and execution of a brand, retail and digital campaign marketing strategy
  • You have a solid understanding of audience management, consumer segmentation and personalisation
  • Are confident with paid media channel performance and KPIs including digital
  • Have knowledge of the airline/travel industry, retail marketing, sponsorship and/or partnership marketing (desirable)
  • Come with previous experience in similar role - 10 years or more (desirable)
  • Have some Project Management experience (desirable)
  • Understand integrated marketing, and campaign management (desirable)
  • Possess an understanding of ACCC advertising, data and privacy laws (desirable)
